Day 1 : Marrakech– High Atlas Mountains– Ait Benhadou–Ouarzazate– Zagora
On the first day of our 2 days Marrakech to Zagora desert tour, your guide will pick you up from your Riad at 8 a.m. and take you via the magnificent Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N Tichka Pass. The beauty of this spectacular pass will wow you. Beautiful vistas and Berber settlements surround the High Atlas Mountains. When we arrive at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Morocco’s largest Kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will have lunch and tour the kasbah with a local guide. Later, we will continue our two-day desert excursion to Zagora through Draa Valley. When we arrive in Zagora, we will be met by camels for a camel ride into the Zagora desert camp to watch the sunset. Enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner under the stars while locals entertain you with traditional drumming music around the bonfire.
Day 2: Zagora Desert – Draa Valley – Marrakech
When you wake up early in the morning, you are welcomed by the beautiful sight of the sun rising over the little dunes of the Zagora desert. This is followed by a traditional breakfast in Zagora’s bivouac. The final stage is a camel ride to meet your driver, who will transport you back to Marrakech. You will also have time in Ouarzazate to eat at a local restaurant and see the famed Kasbah of Taourirt. In the afternoon, we return you to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains, bringing your two-day desert tour in Marrakech to a close. Drop off at your hotel around 6 p.m.
