Day 1 : Fes –Ifrnae- Cedar forests – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Sahara Desert

After breakfast, you’ll start the 2 days tour Fes to Marrakech. You will get on the road and go towards the Sahara Desert, making a stop in Azrou along the way. You take a detour into the cedar woodlands so that you can visit the local Barbary apes. We get at Midelt around noon, which is the ideal time as well as location for lunch. It is well-known for the production of apple fruit on the property. Then, we travel to Errachidia and the Ziz Valley by way of the Tizi n Talghomt Pass. We are making steady progress toward Erfoud. After traveling for a while, we arrive in Merzouga, the starting point of our camel ride that will take us to the desert camp where we will spend the night. After supper, you will be entertained by local Berbers playing music on traditional drums around the campfire after they have served you meal.

Day 2 : Sahara Desert – Ait Benhadou – Marrakech

We recommend to get up early in order enjoy the spectacular sunrise above the Merzouga dunes. Following this natural show, you will be transported by camel to a guesthouse where you will be able to wash and have a meal that will provide you with the energy to continue your trip.

Returning to the route, you will pass through Tafilalet Palmeral and Rissani (the hometown of the Moroccan royal family) until you reach Alnif. Then you’ll cross the breathtaking Anti-Atlas mountains to explore the Berber communities of Tazarine and N’kob, as well as the Draa Valley and its vast stretch of date palms.

After passing via Tizi N’Tnifift, you will arrive in the new Ouarzazate, where you will have lunch. And then you will have a halt in the famed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou or a quick visit depending on the season, before embarking on the road back to Marrakech and dropping you off at your accommodation, where our 2-day tour from Fes to Marrakech via Sahara desert comes to its end.
