Day 1: Fes – Ifrane- Azrou- Ziz Valley – Sahara Desert

Your driver will meet you at your hotel or Riad in Fes and start the 5 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech and we head towards Ifrane, nicknamed as the Switzerland of Morocco. We stop at a cedar forest near Azrou city where we may watch and feed Barbarian apes.
Then we’ll travel through Ziz valley passing a few Berber villages to Erfoud then we arrive at Merzouga in the evening where we stay tonight in a hotel.

Day 2: Sahara Desert 4×4 Tour

After breakfast, you’ll start your desert tour by riding in a four-wheel drive vehicle through the Merzouga Desert. You will start by going to a place with fossils. Then, you will visit nomadic families and learn about their way of life, which revolves around their cattle. We will have a cup of tea with them before going to the historic Mifiss mines, which were run by French companies in the early 1900s. After that, we stop in Khamlia, a small town with people from sub-Saharan Africa who are known for their Gnaoua music. In addition to their own music, they will show off dances from Africa. You eat lunch in the village. It’s called “Berber Pizza,” and it’s a traditional dish from the area. Afterward, you put on your scarf and get ready for the adventure. You ride camels through the dunes to the middle where you stop to enjoy the beautiful sunset then hop on your camels again to reach the desert camp. You will be welcomed with a cup of tea then show you your tents. After dinner, local Berbers will entertain you by drumming music around the bonfire under the stars.

Day 3: Sahara desert – Rissani Market- Todra Gorges- Dades Valley

On this day, we recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise near the camp. After breakfast, we continue our desert tour from Fes and drive towards Rissani which is one of the oldest towns in the area, we will visit its authentic traditional market. We will make a stop at the underground irrigation system known in the area as El Khottarat. And then we drive to Todra gorges where we have lunch, afterwards, we will have a walk through the marvelous canyons. In the afternoon we will drive to Dades valley where we will stop for the scenic landscapes. Then we check into our hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley- Boutghrar- Rose Valley- Amridil Kasbah- Ouarzazate

After breakfast at the hotel, we start our trip along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, so named because huge kasbahs line both sides of the road. Some of these old fortified homes have been fixed up, but a lot of them are in bad shape. We’ll go through Dades Valley and up to the mountains on an off-road trail, where there are many Berber villages and a few nomads living in caves. We’ll get to visit one of these families and see how they live and what they do for a living. Taking care of flocks of goats and sheep. Before we get to Skoura palm grove, where we will visit its 17th-century Kasbah Amridil. 45 km later, we get to Ouarzazate, where we have dinner and stay at a hotel for the night.

Day 5: Ouarzazate- Ait Benhaddou- Marrakech

After breakfast at the hotel, we keep on our 5 days desert tour from Fes, we start our journey by visiting the largest filming studio in the world, Atlas Studios. This location was a filming site for several movies such as The Mommy, Gladiator, Kundun…etc. Later on, we continue towards Kasbah Ait Benhadou. A world heritage site by Unesco, known as the best example of southern Morocco architecture, as well as being a filming location for Game Of Thrones. After lunch, we continue through Hight Atlas Mountains and reach Marrakech in the afternoon.
